You are welcome to mingle, share, ask questions or simply spend time with other mothers who know exactly how you are feeling. Ceremony of Remembrance for our Children, Grandchildren, Siblings & Friends  on Sunday, December 8, 2024

at 6:30 p.m. at the Resurrection Lutheran Church, 3736 St. Paul Blvd., Irondequoit, NY 14617

This soothing, non-denominational, and spiritual observance is held the second Sunday in December each year. It is held in conjunction with the Compassionate Friends Worldwide Candle Lighting©. In 2022, our foundation took over the sponsoring of this event and the ceremony is now held at the Resurrection Lutheran Church in Irondequoit, NY. Families and friends who have experienced the death of a child, young adult, sibling, or grandchild are welcome. We find such solace attending, participating in, and sponsoring this observance which is filled with poetry readings, candle lighting, soothing harp music and more.  RSVPs are requested by a specified date and each family is asked to bring a framed picture of their child(ren) to display at the Ceremony. Simply email this website and let us know the name of the person being remembered and how many people will be attending, in their honor. More specific details will be on this website in late fall 2024.
